Hello and welcome.
My name is Rahul Joglekar.
I am a London-based freelance journalist.
I have worked at the BBC producing shows like the Sony Gold award-winning Newshour, World Today and Sunday in London and briefly in Manchester. I have also been the London producer for the BBC’s Boston-based co-production show The World.
I work for NDTV 24X7 as a London contributor. NDTV (New Delhi Television) is India’s premier English news station broadcasting to millions of viewers in India and abroad.
My career started at the Times of India in Mumbai and I have worked in news as a reporter, producer, presenter in print and broadcast journalism over the past nine years.
My love for international news has made it possible for me to live and work in many cities including London, Delhi and Boston.
I can write, shoot and edit video/audio and present for radio and TV.
I managed to survive a Master’s degree in Commerce (Business management) from Mumbai University, A Master’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from London’s Westminster University and even decided to spend a summer trying to understand US Foreign policy at George Washington University in the Washington D.C.
When I am not pitching stories, writing blogs or presenting TV stories from London – I like to sail and watch stand-up comedy (not at the same time). I could have been a stand-up comic myself, but journalism is working out OK for the moment, thank you very much.
